01 Do I have to register Bilge?
No. Registering is free and optional, and every feature works without it. In Bilge, choose Account… and click Register… — you sign in on shafer.llc and the key comes straight back to the app. You can also paste the key from your account page.
02 I have a new Mac. How do I move my registration?
Register on the new Mac the same way. To drop an old Mac, remove it on your account page, or regenerate the key there — Macs still using the old key are unregistered at their next check.
03 Is Bilge safe to open?
Yes. Bilge is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any other app. (Builds from before notarization needed right-click → Open the first time.)
04 How do I uninstall Bilge?
Quit it, then drag Bilge from Applications to the Trash. Its settings live in ~/Library/Application Support/Bilge/ and ~/Library/Preferences if you want those gone too.
05 Something’s broken or confusing.
Send it to support — use Contact Support… in Bilge and the version is filled in for you. You’ll hear back from the person who wrote it.
